- Lately I've been trying Cabs from regions other than Napa and Sonoma as they have become way too expensive! I have a new favorite! This Paso Cabernet way over-delivers for the price. This Cabernet stands up to the $30 and $40 Cabs from Napa everyday!

- Good on the nose with lots of fruit, cherries and a bit of wood spice thrown in for effect. The pallet displays dark cherry, leather, anise, ripe blackberries and a hint of cedar. Moderately controlled tannins, good acidity, and no small amount of oak trailing off at the end - the finish is not smooth. Decant for several hours and it mellows nicely. Did I mention that you should let it breath for quite a while before serving. I will only say it once....
