Asti Cherry Sangria

If we had to pick a drink of the moment, it’d almost certainly be an Asti. This sweet, sparkling wine is hot on everyone’s list right now, and it’s simple to see why. It’s perfect for summer, excellent for celebrations, and easily enjoyed with or without food. But what happens when wedding season is over and winter sets in? We’re excited to share this winter sangria with you. It uses Martini Asti as a key ingredient while mixing in bright fruit flavors for a surprising twist that looks like summer, but works excellently as a winter cocktail.

Here’s how to make this winter sangria.

¾ oz GREY GOOSE Cherry Noir
1 ½ oz Pomegranate Juice
½ oz Pineapple Juice
3 oz Martini Asti

Lemon Wedge – squeezed
Lime Wedge – squeezed

Add all ingredients in a glass with ice. Stir gently. Add fruit garnishes.

As with all sangrias, this one works well as a pitcher drink, too. Just make sure to keep the ingredients in proportion as you multiple you create a larger serving.

As seen in the photo, this sangria comes out a pleasantly pink color. Again, that’s generally a great color for summer. Maybe not one we would associate with fall and winter, right? Here’s where you can get creative! This bright pink is a perfect color cocktail to play with anytime in October during breast cancer awareness month. As you move into winter, we think you’ll be surprised at how well this bright pink pairs up with holiday décor. Place next to evergreens for a contrast that is a refreshing take on the classic red and green.
