A taste of English Summer (When it's not raining!)
As a Brit, who grew up drinking this wonderful concoction at Wimbledon and Henley. you should serve in a pitcher. Firstly add ice, half filling the pitcher. then the Pimms, followed by as many fruits of your choice, I love putting in raspberries and sliced strawberries. But the 2 most important and never changing ingredients, are many slices of cucumber and torn mint leaves. Having added them, fill to the brim with Sprite or 7up, do not add real lemonade. The confusion happens, because both Sprite and 7up are collectively called lemonade in the UK, Give a stir and serve in tall glasses with a slice of cucumber and a spring of mint. Cheers, bottoms up.

Pimms Cup, the British summer drink
Oh no! Never ginger ale or 7-Up or anything like that. Having lived in Oxfordshire for years, the Brits make it in the following way, and by all means, make a pitcher! Fill glass or pitcher with enough ice to chill, add Pimms, fill rest with lemonade, add slices of strawberry and top it all with a slice of cucumber. Be warned, it's something you will enjoy all summer! Cheers!

The perfect summer drink.
The perfect summer drink. If you've never tried a Pimms cup, you owe it to yourself (you deserve it!) to try it. The perfect Pimms cup is the matter of much debate, but the important thing is that you use what the Limeys call "proper" lemonade, which is a slightly fermented version of 7up. I like using Pellegrino Limonata, or, if you're feeling daring, you can use Mike's Hard Lemonade or something similar. You'll also need an English cucumber (NOT optional in my book), and various other things that may not be easy to find (what's a "borage?"). Pimm's is very much a SUMMER drink, to be drunk on a hot, uncomfortable day while watching cricket at Lord's, or worse, Headlingly. But it is DIVINE. Get yerself a bottle and google yerself a good recipe and when it's hot, go at it!
