My Absolute Favorite Beverage
I would become an alcoholic if I found anything better than this. I can drink pretty tequila for the effect but I drink this for the taste.

DON JULIO 1942 IS THE BEST TEQUILA EVER
Don Julio makes the best tequila, we have tried the Reserve, the Anejo, but the 1942 Anejo "ROCKS" So smooth and I don't have a problem with the price for special occasions

One to try for a ultimate tequilla venture
Very delightful served chilled over. This is a slow sipping experience one should try. This price point is fair and recommendable for all who would like to experience.

Simply the best
You just can not beat this at the price point. Great sipping tequila with a smooth, even finish. Only Bevmo keeps jacking the price up on this. A year ago I paid $110 on sale, now it's $125. Luckily I found it for $110 as an everyday price somewhere else.

Way too good not to savor - do not let your 1942 anywhere near margarita mix or blender!!!!
I agree with Steve, if u r mixing stick with Hornitos,Cazadores etc.. And for heaven's sake if u r shooting it get yourelf some cuervo gold.... but if you want to taste a magnificient tequila get some 1942 and enjoy.

Top 10 on my list of favorite tequilas
This is one of my favorite tequilas. Like everything, taste is subjective, but I must say I have tried 100's of tequilas and this is top 10 on my list! Generally most top end tequila's are smooth as is this one. What this has is the right amount of oak taste and aroma. The presentation is killer (bottle and case look very nice on the shelf of my bar). If you are a beginner tequila sipper (you don't drink or shoot fine tequila) you might want to try this chilled at first as the taste might be a bit powerful and I believe chilling it helps with what might be overpowering taste. I just love this tequila! I compare it Gran Patron Burdeos (see my comment there).

Well worth the investment.
This is the most pleasant Tequila I have enjoyed. It is true to what a Tequila is designed to be. Incredibly smooth with a warm, rich finish. Well worth the investment.

Don all the way
It just doesnt get any better than this, people. Oh my gosh. Worth every penny. And as far as standard Silver or Anjeo, you can have your wannabe Patron - Don Julio, baby. Don't be trendy or hipster, get the good stuff. Don all the way. Thank you, end of disussion.

Never have I said a $100 bottle of alcohol is priced accordingly... until now!
Hands down THE best tequila I have tasted to date. Very well crafted. Perfect balance of roasted agave and oak, one does not overpower the other and is consistent sip after sip. Goes down smooth with no burn and leaves the flavors on you tongue for awhile. I will have no problem buying a bottle of this tequila once or twice a year.

Worth the Price
As others have said, this is not one to go into mixed drinks or downed by the shot. Pour it into a snifter and enjoy the great bouquet and smooth taste.

1942 is a Masterpiece of Agave Perfection
Simply the best. All other Anejo's that often try to imitate but fail in comparison. Majestic aromas that lull and seduce with a truly magnificent finish that leaves you spellbound. Completely euphoric in every sense. Best enjoyed neat for sipping only and meant to be savored. All hail Don Julio, respect!

OK, so THIS is tequila.....!
I used to hate tequila- I was more into single malt scotch, cognac, fine martinis, good wine, etc.; Now I understand that my dislike for tequila was because I was essentially drinking the same everyday crap (usually in margaritas) that was readily available, and a lot of that not even 100% agave! Then someone (and you know who you are!) had me taste a finer Anejo tequila in a brandy snifter, and I realized what I was missing. The 1942 is smooth with a nice finish, slightly spicy, a hint of the oak and vanilla, and a much finer spirit that is as enjoyable as any higher-end, well crafted drink. I enjoy this (as well as a few other Anejos) neat in a "spirit glass" designed for single malt scotches. To be savored, not slammed down in a shot glass.
