Great First Time
First time drinking scotch was this bottle here, and it wasn't bad.

Daggum good, every single day!
Been on this handle all week. What a true after work simmer down sipper. 2 cubes of ice and a 3 finger pour and the night is good to go. I had forgotten how much I like the sweet, smoky and deep flavors of Johnny B- and just a tiny roll in the brine. I'm having a hard time selecting anything else off the shelf at present, and with about 30 bottles to choose from- I think that's saying something. Used to gravitate toward some Famous Grouse like this, but that's on hold. Killer blend. I drink what I like. Awesome with barbecue and hearty, meaty, manly dishes too! Tacos? Steak? You bet your bippy.

Amazing Blend
This is my favorite blended scotch. Im not super refined so I dont know how to put it into words but it has a lot of smokiness that I find delicious. Like I said im not refined but I know what I like and this is it. I compare all other blends to this and haven't found one that can match it yet. Hoping to try some of the higher end JW's soon.

good everyday whiskey, affordable, with a dash of sparkling water and ice, wayy better than red (undrinkable)

Very consistent blended 12y scotch
i am not much of a single malt man myself, i think they lack depth. JW black is a very consistent scotch and my current favorite of the 12 years that are out there

A great value in blended Scotch
I was pleasantly surprised by Johnnie Walker Black. I didn't know what to expect, but I certainly didn't expect to be smitten by such a relatively inexpensive blended Scotch. In the glass, it has a warm caramel and spice aroma, reminiscent of creme brulée. In the mouth it has a wonderful spiciness, that gives way to a quick burst of fruitiness, followed by a long tail of smoke and honey, yet it's just lightly sweet. I usually enjoy it with a splash of spring water, but it's smooth enough to drink neat. It's a surprisingly elegant Scotch, deep and richly flavored. I've had far more expensive blends (such as The Famous Grouse 21 Year Old) that don't hold a candle to Johnnie Black Label for finesse and flavor. It easily earns 4.5 stars---or 90 out of 100 (which rounds up to five stars in BevMo's impoverished 5-star system)---as one of the great values in blended Scotch.

Best of the 12-year blended Scotch.
I can't claim I've tasted all 12-year blends, but Black Label is the best of those I have. Certainly deserves a 5 star rating for blended scotch, not including single malts. Bet you can't have just one!

Johnnie gets better from here
Bottom of the Johnnie line-up. Red is only suitable for mixing....

Truly great blended Scotch.
I can't think of a better tasting Scotch at this price level, it easily blows away all the rest of the blends and many lower priced single malts if you know what I mean. Do not mix it with ice just add a splash of water and chill it in the freezer for a few minutes before drinking it. This blend is second to none in my opinion and thanks for reading my review.

Great Daily Drinker
Blue Label is my all-time favorite scotch whiskey, but it's price keeps me from calling it a "daily drinker." Black Label is my go-to scotch for daily drinking. It has remarkably the same flavor profile as Blue Label, but naturally not the same depth and smoothness. In spite of some of the derogatory comments from the typical single-malt snobs, there just isn't a 12yo single malt out there that I can call better. Black Label is simply a blend of the finest single malts, selected by someone who knows way more about scotch than any of the snobs, to produce a world-class product. It's first note is sweet, followed by smoky goodness and complexity with a smooth finish.
