A great top tier gin at a reasonable price.
Using the BevMo guide this ranks a 4.5 but closer to the 5 (It's simply amazing) than 4 (I'm diggin it) so, 5 it is. This gin and I go way back. There was a time when it was essentially the only gin I would drink. As gin and Bombay Sapphire grew in popularity I strayed from both a bit. When I would drink gin I would usually opt for something I hadn't tried before. This led me down many paths to gins that were so far away from what Sapphire was on nearly every level. I tried some amazing gin and found quite a few favorites. It got to the point where I thought of Sapphire in a less than favorable light for no real good reason other than popularity. That was silly and I knew it. So, I committed to buying a bottle and giving it a go. I am glad I did. I forgot how good it is. It is still not Spirit Works, 209, Hendrick's, or Old Raj, and that is perfectly okay with me. It is its own special thing and it is really good. Bold, complex, dry, and unforgiving. I prefer it in a gin and tonic or a gin and soda vs. a martini setting.

Flavorful mid shelf gin with strong aromatic spices
Bombay is an affordable gin with a rich aroma and brisk body. A reliable gin when nothing else is around. Bombay's strength is perhaps it's weakness- it's full of flavor that starts fast, but leaves quickly. This is my go-to gin for gimlets. Best paired with an inexpensive tonic (Schweppes) and lime.

Why not? I like it.
The first Gin I ever had, served neat, for my 21st. I do consider myself to be a Gin drinker, but neat is bit too much. In a G&T, the game changes, and it's good. Juniper, slight citrus (sometimes un-noticed) and a spicy nature to it.
